Job Title: Medication Technician, Med Tech
Branch Location: Staffing
Job Location: Raleigh/Durham Area
Hours / Shifts:
- Monday-Friday 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a
- Sat/Sun 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Full-time employees are required to work every other weekend
Pay Rate:
- $15 - $17/hour, based on experience
Duties:
- Meals cooked and served on both 1st and 2nd shift
- All ADL's and IADL's are shared between staff with exception of Medication management.
- Laundry, Housekeeping, Sanitization
- Activities and Engagement
- For 3rd shift, the focus is on safety, toileting every 2 hrs, medication management, morning preparation and deep cleaning common areas. The goal is to start getting residents up for the day and follow shower schedules.
- Minimum of 2 years as a Med Tech
- Current Med Tech Certification
- 15 Hour Med Aide Training
- Maintain CEU’s
- Ability to participate in physical activity
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis
- Heavy Lifting 30lbs. minimum
Professional Skills:
- Ability to provide direct medication administration to others
- Ability to read physician orders
- Know the components of a proper medication order
- Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving
- Able to read and interpret policies
- He/She must maintain confidentiality, be a critical thinker, as well as being concise and detail-oriented
Additional Documents:
- Driver's License
- Social Security Card
- Current CPR
- 2-Step TB test within the past 12 months
