Personal Care Aide (PCA) for Home Care Services
Branch Location: Staffing
Job Location: Raleigh/Durham Area
Hours / Shifts Available: 7 AM - 3 PM or 3 PM - 11 PM, Monday - Friday
7 AM - 7 PM Every Other Saturday - Sunday
Pay Rate: $13-$14/hour, based on experience
Patient: Adult

WHAT WE DO:
Provide one on one care in the home with critical, complex clients as well as in the community to support needs such as safety skills, personal care, communication skills, social skills, job skills, independent living skills, etc.
Duties:
-
Supervise and assist the client with ADLs/IADLs as indicated by the care plan
-
Diet planning and feeding assistance
-
Reporting changes in the client’s condition or living environment
-
Assisting with ambulation
-
Home Management, Home Safety, and Sanitization
-
Routine housekeeping as indicated by the care plan
-
Infection Control
-
Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or Equivalent
-
Must be 18 years or older and able to read and write consistent with job requirements
-
Certificate of formal training preferred
-
Ability to participate in physical Activity
-
Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular basis
-
Heavy Lifting 30lbs. minimum
Professional Skills:

Ability to prioritize
-
Be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently, make sound judgments based on the care plan and data available, and act accordingly

Current CPR is not required, but preferred

2-Step TB test within the past 12 months
